Why did I start a blog?

I’ve always loved to write but I’ve never known what to do with it. This is a new venture for me and I believe I have something to offer!

What makes me unique?

Life has handed me many challenges to overcome, most at a young age. I’ve been through hell and back and it’s given me a unique perspective.

Career & Education

I’m a Marketing Sales Representative currently working toward an associate’s degree in business/human resources along with an associates in Spanish.

Family

My parents are divorced and I’m very close with both of them. I have a 2 sisters and 1 brother, all older than me. I have 10 nieces and nephews that are my life! I am unmarried with no kids but I have 2 spoiled rotten dogs that are treated like my kids!

Hardships that made me who I am

As a teenager I dealt with a mom that did drugs, got into trouble, and went to prison for a little over a year. My dad is a trucker so I stayed with a friend and her parents to finish school.

My older sister began to take prescription pills and over the course of a few years ended up on meth and losing her 3 oldest boys to DHS and went on to have 3 more kids who were taken. She died in 2017 of cancer at age 30.

Other than my dad, brother, and one sister, nobody in my family is successful. No career, no college, no future plans. Several of my family members are in and out of prison.

Watching all of these events unfold made me want to be the best I could be. I decided to be different. Age is just a number, wisdom is gained through experience.
